Sam Holsinger

Robert Samuel “Sam” Holsinger, 44, of Parsons, died at 8:15 a.m., Sunday, August 18, 2019 at his home. His death was unexpected.

He was born May 30, 1975, in Parsons, to Michael J. and Loretta L. (White) Holsinger. He attended local schools, graduating from Parsons High School in 1993.

In his adult years he had been employed at several places including Grandview Cabinet Co., Parsons Precision Products, Watco Railway Co. and SKIL. His hobbies included fishing, motorcycle riding, drag racing and scrapping. His dogs, Elsa Mae and Buddy, were his constant companions. He was a member of Our Father’s Vineyard Church.








Surviving are his mother, Loretta Holsinger of the home; five children, Kyleigh Holsinger of Parsons, Bethany Holsinger of Shawnee, Bradyn Holsinger of Parsons, Logan Holsinger and Eden Holsinger, both of Chetopa; a granddaughter, Peighton Standley and an expected granddaughter, Paizleigh Standley; brother, Rick Holsinger, and his wife, Kimi, of Parsons; grandmother, Harriette White of Jacksonville, AR; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceding him in death was his father, Mike Holsinger, paternal grandfather, Bob White and his maternal grandparents, Elmer and Dowana Holsinger.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, at Oakwood Cemetery, with Micheal Linthicum officiating. The family will receive friends at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday.
