Danny Rawlins

Danny Joe Rawlins, age 74, passed away at 8:28 pm, Monday, August 19, 2019 at Quaker Hill Manor, Lowell, KS following an illness.

Danny was born February 7, 1945 in Joplin, MO. His parents were Ted and Gladys (Venturella) Rawlins. He was a lifetime resident of Riverton.

He graduated from Riverton High School with the class of 1963. He then earned an Associate degree in Business from NEO College in Miami, OK.

Danny served in the U S Army for 3 years, working as a printer. He owned and operated TriState Printing in Galena for 25 years, retiring in 2010. He was of the Baptist faith. He served on the Riverton School Board from 1984 -1997. He had coached youth baseball in the summertime as his son progressed from Farm Club, Little League, and Junior Leagues. Danny enjoyed working with drag racing. He enjoyed collecting knives, several of which he made himself. He also enjoyed fishing.

Danny was married to Nancy Jane Wellman on June 5, 1964 in Riverton. She survives.








Additional survivors include one son, Jeff Rawlins (wife, Debbie) Lowell, KS; one daughter, Stacy Crumbliss, Miami, OK; one brother, Michael Rawlins (wife, Pamela) Wyandotte, OK; 4 grandchildren, Michael Shane Rawlins, Shelby Crumbliss, Kayli Rawlins, and Ashton Crumbliss; 6 great-grandchildren, a niece, Sandra Evans whom he was very close to, and other several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Deanie Evans.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 am, Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Quaker Valley Cemetery, Riverton, KS. Pastor Audie Tash will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena.
