Floyd Rhoe

Floyd Myrl Rhoe, age 92 of Columbus, passed away at 2:37 AM on Sunday, March 29, 2020 at Mercy Hospital of Columbus.

Floyd was born in Columbus on March 17, 1928 to parents Clarence Edward Rhoe and Carrie Lula (DaVolt) Rhoe. He served our country in the US Navy from 1946-1948. He had lived in California, where he was a machinist with General Dynamics for 40 years, he had lived in Texas, where he was a machinist with Minesco Manufacturing, he had lived in Arkansas, where he was a member of Shepherd’s Chapel Church in Gravette, AR, and he moved back to Columbus upon his retirement in 1992. He was a member of the American Legion, and his favorite pastime was horseback riding.

Floyd was united in marriage with LeNeva “Toots” (Mishler) Rhoe on January 24, 1948 in Yuma, AZ. She preceded him in death on October 27, 2017.








He was also preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Carrie; one son, Brandon Rhoe; one daughter, Vickie Guthrie; one sister, Dorothy Reed; and one brother, Dale Rhoe.

Survivors include one son; Monte Rhoe (wife, Nancy) of Riverside, CA; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

In respect to the current COVID-19 Outbreak, there will be no public services. He will be laid to rest beside his wife, Toots, at Park Cemetery of Columbus.
