Gloria Millington

Gloria A. Millington, 85, of Pittsburg, passed away at 8:20 a.m. Thursday, December 27, 2018, at the Via Christi Village in Pittsburg.

She was born April 20, 1933, at Ringo, KS, the daughter of Joe and Catherine Penachio. She graduated from Girard High School in 1950.

Gloria married Charles McCloud and they later divorced. In 1962 she married James H. Millington. He preceded her in death on September 23, 1979.

Membership was held in the Lighthouse Tabernacle Church and she also made bibles at Crossroads Baptist Church in Girard, KS.



Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey L. McCloud of Coffeyville, KS, and William H. Millington of Wellington, KS; four grandsons, Jeremiah McCloud, Samuel McCloud, Joshua McCloud, and Jeffrey McCloud; two granddaughters, Ashley Millington and Karra Millington; a great granddaughter, Scarlett McCloud; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James H. Millington, four brothers, Angelo Penachio, Joe Penachio, Jr, John Penachio, and Victor Penachio, and two sisters, Frances DeRidder, and Christine VanGorden.

Per her wishes, Gloria’s body has been donated to science under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary. No services are planned. The family suggests memorials to the Lighthouse Tabernacle Church and/or the Bible Publication Fund at Crossroads Baptist Church.
