Sherry Bulot

Sherry L. Bulot, 66, of Frontenac, passed away at 3:23 a.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the Via Christi Village.

She was born December 30, 1950 at Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Jim and Illa M. (Baldwin) Wofford. She attended schools in Porterville, Kansas and then in Pittsburg, where she graduated from Pittsburg High School.

On January 25, 1985, she was united in marriage to Mike Bulot at the Timmons Chapel.

She worked for TWA in Kansas City for fifteen years, before moving to Pittsburg. She then worked at AAA Travel Agency until they closed. Sherry went to work for WATCO, where she worked for 15 years until she retired.

Sherry had a love and passion for her horses and the horse show world. She enjoyed showing and raising horses and was actively involved for many years with the Tri-State Association, the Ozark Quarter Horse Association, and the Lucky Rider’s 4-H Horse Club. She volunteered many hours in each association and at the Crawford County Fair.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Bulot of the home; two sons, Grant and Carter of the home; her mother, Illa Wofford of Pittsburg; a brother, Bob Wofford and his wife, Shirley of Warsaw, Missouri; her brother-in-law, Brian Bulot; niece, Rayna Bulot; nephew, Blake Bulot; and two good friends, Kim Duncan and Lisa Butts.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 21) at the Brenner Mortuary with Fr Tom Stroot officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Abbey, Pittsburg. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Brenner Mortuary, where friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday. The family suggests memorials to the Shriner’s Hospital and/or St. Jude’s. These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS 66762.
