Jesse J. Whited age age 86 of Baxter Springs ,Kansas passed away Friday, February 21, 2020 at Eastwood Manor in Commerce, Oklahoma. He was born on November 6, 1933 in Picher, Oklahoma the son of Frank J. & Ora Bell Thomas Whited.
He attended school in Hockerville and Quapaw, Oklahoma. He entered the United States Air Force in 1953 serving overseas in Germany.
After serving for his country he began working for the United State Postal Service in 1961 retiring in 1988. After retirement he then made his home in Baxter Springs, Kansas in 1989.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bonnie, a daughter, Alta Jean Webber, two brothers, Glen Dale Whited and Harold Dean Whited and one sister, Frankie Ventura.
He is survived by his brother, Larry Whited, two sisters, Carolyn Clogston and Johnita Johnson. Also surviving are three grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces and other relatives and friends.
Graveside services for Jesse J. Whited will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Baxter Springs Cemetery, Baxter Springs, Kansas with Rev. Ray Clonts, officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday evening at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home, Commerce, Oklahoma.
