Calvin Hart

(From Derfelt Funeral Home)

Calvin Rufus James Hart, was born on May 1, 1978 to Mary Hart-Story and Harold Allan Adams in Portland, OR, and his life journey sadly ended on February 10, 2020 at his home in Baxter Springs at the age of 41.

He grew up in Galena, KS and Portland, OR where he attended school in both places throughout his childhood. Calvin was a traveler. He roamed from place to place, and he really enjoyed the outdoors, especially the mountains. He also enjoyed doing mechanic work and watching movies. He was always a prankster and loved pranking our father the most.

Calvin also served in the Army from 2002-2003. During that time he met Juli Rogers. Calvin and Juli then gave birth to their son Jarred Allan Hart who was born on March 19, 2003. He loved his son very much.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold; his mother, Mary; his brother, Glenn Bollinger; his sister, Beth Bollinger; and his aunt, Rose.

He is survived by his son, Jarred Allan Hart; three sisters, Angela Earl and spouse of Scapoose, OR, Lori and Jimmie Crowe of Burnsflat, OK, and Tammy and James Westendorf of Jane, MO; two brothers, Fred Bollinger of Seguin, TX, and Tyrone Hart of Galena, KS; five nieces, seven nephews, two great-nieces, and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family and friends. Calvin touched a lot of hearts and will be forever missed.
