Nadine Hilderbrand

Violet “Nadine” Hilderbrand, 98 of Columbus, KS left her earthly life and entered into heaven on March 24, 2020 at her home.

She was born December 29, 1921 in Faulkner, KS the daughter of Neil and Vina (McBride) Turner.

She attended grade school at Mt. Pleasant before graduating from Columbus Community High School in 1939.

On August 24, 1940 she was united in marriage to Cloyed Hilderbrand in Columbus.

Nadine was a homemaker and a farmer until retiring to Columbus Kansas.

Cloyed and Nadine celebrated 70 years of marriage before he passed away in 2011.










Nadine was locally known for her amazing flowers and her beautiful yard. She spent her retired years enjoying her flowers and garden. She was also active in the First Christian Church where she had been a lifetime member. She will always be remembered for her angel food cakes at the annual bazaar.

Survivors include a granddaughter Leigh McWilliams and her husband James.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Joyce Wilcox, sister Thelma Kump and brother I.C. “Bud” Turner.

Private graveside services will take place at the Park Cemetery. Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com. Memorials can be made to the First Christian Church of Columbus. Services by Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 611 S. East Ave. Columbus, KS.
