Liz Munding

Elizabeth “Liz” Colleen Munding, 51, of Parsons, died at 8:55 P.M., Monday, March 2, 2020 at Labette Health.

She was born April 23, 1968 at Parsons, a daughter of Norbert Joseph “Joe” and Donna Colleen (Templeton) Munding. She grew up in Parsons, and attended elementary school and junior high school in Parsons. She then attended the Labette County High School, graduating in 1986 and later attended the Labette Community College and received her Associates of Arts Degree in Psychology. She began working at the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center after graduation and was a Supervisor CTS in cottages. She later became assistant manager of the warehouse and was currently working there.

She was a member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles and camping. She was an avid Kansas City Chiefs, Royals and K.U. Jayhawks fan. She also enjoyed plants and her pets.








Survivors include: her companion – Roger P. Thompson, Parsons, KS; one daughter Cherrish Colleen Kimble, and her companion, Scott Hall, Parsons, KS; one granddaughter – Andi Hall, Parsons, KS; one brother – Joseph “Joe” N. Munding, and his companion, Glenna Crespino, Parsons, KS; one nephew – Matthew Munding, Bradenton, FL; three nieces – Amber Richmond, Bradenton, FL, Jessica Branham, Bradenton, FL, Abby Munding, Topeka, KS; several great nieces and nephews. Her parents preceded her in death.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, March 7, 2020 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Curtis Robertson officiating. Burial will be in the East Bethany Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 6:30 Friday evening at the funeral home with visitation following. Memorials are suggested to an education fund established for her granddaughter.
