Cressie Warren

Cressie Shelley Warren, 99, of Parsons died at 6:50 am, Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Good Samaritan nursing home.

She was born October 17, 1920 in rural Granby, MO to Delbert and Mabel (Beaver) Shelley. She married David A. Warren, worked at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant in Parsons, lived McCune and Oswego, then moved to Tulsa, OK after her husband returned from the War. She raised three children and later became a nanny specializing in newborn baby care in the Tulsa area. She moved back to Kansas in 1979 to be near family.

Cressie spent many hours sewing, cooking, reading and studying nutrition. She was a diligent student of God’s word and found great pleasure in her Bibles. She was a long-time member of Foursquare Church.








Survivors include a daughter, Beth Braman and her husband Raymond of Parsons, a son, H. Douglas Warren of Tulsa, 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, David A. Warren of Owasso, OK, two brothers, infant Jimmy Shelley and Dick Shelley and four sisters, Shirley Justice, Eva Westervelt, Geraldine Casey, and Mary Nell Farris.

Place of rest, Oswego Cemetery, directed by Derfelt Funeral Home, Oswego, KS.

There will be a come and go gathering at the home of her daughter, Beth Braman the afternoon of March 28, 2020 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. Caregivers, friends and acquaintances are invited to drop by to “rejoice” in Cressie’s honor.
