Cheryl Lynn Gandy, 53, passed from this life on October 19, 2019 at Freeman Hospital, Joplin, MO.
She was born on February 23, 1966 to Rex and Dorothy Gandy of Galena, KS. She lived in Galena all her life. Cheryl was a kind and gentle person with a huge heart. She loved spending time with her friends and family, making jokes and coming up with silly nicknames for them. She gave her brother-in-law, Greg the nickname of Dig when she was a child and it has stuck with him all his life. She was one the of the biggest animal lovers you would ever meet, never being without at least one dog of cat at all times. She loved her family passionately and will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Rex and Dorothy and one sister, Linda Chapman.
She is survived by one sister, Cindy Clevenger and husband, Greg; one brother Eric Gandy and wife, Tina; her long tome partner, Shannon Swaggart, and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation arrangements were made with Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS.
Graveside memorial services will be at 4:00 pm, Friday, October 25, 2019 at Gandy Cemetery, Galena, KS. Mike Huffman will officiate.
