Bill Schenker

Billie (Bill) Ray Schenker, 79 of Oswego, KS passed away October 15, 2019 at his home. He was born December 19, 1939 to Cecil and Katherine (Wainwright) Schenker near Papinsville, MO. He attended Zion Lutheran School in Prairie City, MO and graduated from Rich Hill High School in 1957. He married Karen Sue Farrell in 1961. She survives of the home. His sister Kay Werling also survives him.

Bill and Karen were blessed with four sons, Kevin (Cherie) of McCune, KS; Kent (Jennifer) of Oswego, KS; Kyle (Amy) of Harrisonville, MO and Kraig of El Dorado, KS. He delighted in his 16 grandchildren.

He worked as a feed salesman for numerous years before retiring in 1999. Bill loved coon hunting and was known across the country for his champion black and tans.








Bill was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Oswego serving on numerous committees and as a church elder for many years. Bill loved to share the importance of a relationship with Jesus Christ with his friends and family.

His parents, a sister and two brothers preceded him in death. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 522 5th Street, Oswego, KS 67356.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 17, from 6:00pm – 8:00 pm; the funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 18. Both services will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Oswego.
