Mickey Hart

(From Derfelt Funeral Home)

Michael Dale Hart, 4/18/1963- 09/18/2019

Our daddy wouldn’t have wanted a boring obituary and he once told me while reading the paper “man, just reading these things would kill a person” So in his unique way, I’m writing this “Mickey style.”

He was loving and so kind,
He’s the most unique man you’d ever find.
He was like this from the start,
His name is Mickey Hart.
A hunter of rocks and of gold,
About this history we were told,
Deciphering maps of Jesse James,
Our dad’s a man with many names.
He loved to cast a line,
On his fried crappie we would dine,
He was our biggest fan,
His name was fisherman.
He would talk about our Savior
And prayer time he would saver.
His Bible always out,
He reminded us that’s what life’s about.
He was compassionate and caring,
With others always sharing.
With us he will always be a part,
his name is Mick Hart.
A story teller of his time,
With his written songs he would rhyme,
He was a man with great ambition,
His name is great musician.
He loved to brag on his grandkids,
He would hug them & say “you know, they’re gettin big!”
He loved them more than they’d ever see,
His name is Poppy.
He kissed us and loved us so,
More than the world will ever know,
He was never one to follow a fad
His name is, our sweet dad.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Bethel Church, Baxter Springs, KS.

Michael has been entrusted to Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel for cremation. Online condolences may be expressed at www.derfeltfuneralhomes.com.
