Laura Tobler

Laura Bell Tobler was born August 1, 1938 to the late Celia Age Ross (Tobler) and Aaron Tobler in Hominy, Oklahoma. At a young age, her family moved to Parsons, Kansas where she would attend school.

She married her love, Joe Louis Warren, on July 9, 1956. Being a Military wife, she lived in Kansas City, Rhode Island, and New York before permanently making Norfolk, Virginia their home.

In 2001, she became a member of First Baptist Church Logan Park. She enjoyed participating in church and community events up until the time her health began to decline.

Mrs. Warren was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Virginia Louise Robinson, brothers Arthur Gray, and Carlton Tobler, nephew, Charles Robinson, niece Theresa Sheryl Gray, sister-in-laws Ruby Gray, Karen Kay Warren-Willoughby, and Lillie Warren, and brother-in-law Kenneth Green.








Known as “Grammy” to many, she leaves to cherish and honor her memory; her daughter, Celia Annette Porro, son, Carlton Anthony Warren, son-in-law Claudio Porro, granddaughter, Lenecia Porro, great-grandsons, Xavier and Aaron Porro-Harrell of Norfolk; nephews, Clarence (Maggie) Robinson, Marion "Poncho" Robinson, George Robinson, nieces, Zella (Donald) Davis, Sheryl Robinson (Buddy) Carvin of Kansas City, great-nephew, Joel Taylor of Elizabeth City, NC, 5 sister-in-laws, Etta Warren of Kansas City, Pauline Boyd, Eleanor Brown, Joanne Titchenor, and Betty Hadley all of Wichita, and a host of other nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends that are considered family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
