Elma Blessant

Elma L. Blessant, 95, of Pittsburg, died at 7:52 A.M. Sunday, February 17, 2019, at Medicalodges of Frontenac.

She was born March 23, 1923, at Frontenac, KS, to Julian and Eva (Dieu) Vantrepotte. She graduated from Cockerill High School.

On August 30, 1941, she was united in marriage to Martin Blessant at Girard. He preceded her in death on June 11, 2007.

Elma was a homemaker. She was a member of St Peter's Episcopal Church, Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, United Commercial Travelers, and Rob Morris #74 Order of Eastern Star.







Survivors include two daughters Joyce Evans and Nancy Schlapper both of DeLand, Florida; a daughter-in-law, Jeanine Blessant of Pittsburg; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Martin, a son, Kenneth Blessant and an infant brother, Elmer Vantrepotte.

Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday (Feb 23) at Mount Olive Cemetery with Father David Jenkins officiating. The family suggests memorials to St. Peter's Episcopal Church. These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 East 4th St., Pittsburg, KS 66762. Friends may also leave condolences online at www.brennermortuary.com.
