Brenda J. Robertson, 64, of Parsons, passed away at 12:41 a.m., Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the home of her daughter, Lisa Maguire.
She was born on February 11, 1955 at Parsons to Gene and Marcie (Cares) Holmes. She grew up at Parsons and attended Parsons schools graduating from Parsons High School in 1973.
Brenda worked at Swift Co., Broderick's, Parsons Precision Products, Casey’s Convenience Stores, Sears, Downtown Meat Market, Aardvark Video Store, Ray Products, and recently Ducommun AeroStructures.
She was married to L.D. Hodgden in January of 1974. They later divorced. She and Drew Robertson were married in 1991 at Miami, Oklahoma. They later divorced.
Brenda enjoyed birds of all kinds, dogs, gardening and was known to make anything grow, crafts, going to the dollar stores, and most of all she cherished her children and grandchildren. She was a member of ABATE of Kansas and an avid NASCAR fan.
Brenda is survived by her two sons, Jason Hodgden, and his wife, Rebecca of Parsons and Bret Hodgden, and his wife, Amber of Parsons; her daughter, Lisa Maguire of Parsons; 11 grandchildren; Samantha Cornell, and her husband, Justin, Althea Hodgden, and her husband, Alec, Dylan Cunningham, Michael Hodgden, Abigail Hilbert, Anna Smith, Michael Crowe, Gene Hodgden, Hunter Hilbert, Alex Hodgden, and Ashton Hughes; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bryan Holmes on January 10, 2006.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, February 22, 2019 at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home with the Reverend Jeff Owen officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening.
