Ralph Ludlum

(From Derfelt Funeral Home)

Ralph E. Ludlum of Baxter Springs, Kansas passed from this life into eternity, full of years on May 17, 2020. Ralph (Uncle Tuff) was born in Quapaw, Oklahoma on July 25, 1929 to Alma and Grace Ludlum. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, three elder brothers (Harry, Frank and Leroy), and two elder sisters (Alma Louise and Mary Lavon).

Ralph is survived by his life companion and beloved, Nettie Mae Ludlum, who celebrated 70 years of marriage last July 12th. They have two children, daughter Patricia Ludlum of Baxter Springs, Kansas; and a son Jerry Ludlum and wife Cindy of Winter Park, Florida.

Ralph (Papa) adored and doted on three granddaughters (Amy (Shaver) Spruill, Stacy Shaver, and Shanon Ludlum) and two grandsons (Nathan Shaver and Nicholas Reynolds), and nine great grandchildren (Meagan, Micah, Matthew, and Marshal Dalton; Benjamin, Judah, Caitlyn, Levi, and Luke Shaver).

Ralph was an active member of the Baxter Springs First Assembly of God for over 60 years. He provided well for his family as an employee of Spenser Chemical, Wayne Moore Plumbing, and Yellow Freight.

If a man’s wealth is measured in friends, Ralph was one of the world’s richest men.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Lowell Cemetery. COVID-19 social distancing guidelines will be followed. Services will be live streamed on our Facebook page. Online condolences may be expressed at www.derfeltfuneralhomes.com.
