Freda Badart

Freda Rose Badart 85, of Pittsburg, KS died 3:35pm Wednesday May 13, 2020 at her home following an illness.

Freda was born February 23, 1935 in Irwin, MO the daughter of Fred Jr. and Velma (Webb) Miller. She attended and graduated from Lamar High School and soon moved to Pittsburg following graduation. In her early years she worked for Jim’s Steak House, later Annshire Garment Factory and most notably Pitt Plastics for 30 years before retirement.

On January 30, 1955 Freda married Donald Badart in Pittsburg, KS; he preceded her in death on May 24, 2006. Freda was of the Christian Faith; loved puzzles, crossword puzzles, reading and was known as a collector of many things.








Survivors include her children Don Badart and wife Carol of Scammon, KS and Debra Badart of Pittsburg, KS; sister Georgia Mikessell of Springfield, MO; 3 grand-daughters Lydia Dainty, Carleigh Junior and Natalie Collins and 7 great-grandchildren.

Freda was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister Virginia Ramsey.

Graveside Services will be 11:00am Monday May 18, 2020 at the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Pittsburg, KS with Pastor Duane Elmore officiating.
