Terri Scarborough

Terrell Jean “Terri” Scarborough, 74, of Parsons, passed away in the Springfield, Missouri area following a brief illness.

She was born on September 16, 1944 at Santa Barbara, California to Walter Terrell and Roberta Jean (Borders) Scarborough, Jr. She grew up in various places across the United States due to her father’s military service. She graduated from Liberty High School at Liberty, Missouri. Terri later went on to attend Pittsburg State University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.

She worked as a teacher and as an adjunct instructor at Labette Community College. Terri had a love for the beach and the ocean. She was a member of the St. John’s Episcopal Church in Parsons.










Terri is survived by three daughters, Kelly Dean, and her husband, Tim, Rebecca Powell, and her husband James, and Amy Loft, and her husband, Robert all of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; her brother, Michael Scarborough, and his wife, Candy of Parsons; her sister, Jane Stringer, and her husband, Les of Parsons; several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at the St. John’s Episcopal Church with Mother Sharon Billman officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
