John Crim

John E. Crim, 70, of Pittsburg, passed away at 5:20 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2019 at Via Christi Hospital.

He was born November 23, 1948 at Pittsburg, Kansas, the son of Forrest and Rose (Kieffer) Crim.

John graduated from Southeast High School in 1967. After high school John was drafted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1971.

On October 13, 1978, he was united in marriage to Barbara Moore. She survives of the home.

Mr. Crim worked for P&M Coal Company, Brooks House Moving, National Screen Printing, and Hix Corporation.

John was a member of the Pittsburg Masonic Lodge No. 187 where he was a past Master.








In addition to his wife Barbara, he is survived by a Step-Son Scott C. Gillen of Pittsburg, KS; two sisters, Rosemary Glidewell of Pittsburg, KS, and Elizabeth Grady and her husband Tom of Pittsburg, KS, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Kathryn Simpson.

A service is set for 2:00p.m., Tuesday (July 23) at the Brenner Mortuary with Pastor Anthony Navaratnam officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery, Pittsburg. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the funeral at the Brenner Mortuary. The family suggests memorial donations to S.E.K. Humane Society.
