Harley Heath Rose, age 75, of Washburn, Missouri, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019 at his home, following a long illness.
He was born October 22, 1943 in Washburn the son of Jeff and Velma (Fletcher) Rose.
On December 21, 1962 he was united in marriage to Glenda Hilery, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Brian Rose and his wife Laura of Washburn, Missouri; one daughter, Anita “Nina” Ragland and her husband Johnny of Bella Vista, Arkansas; two brothers, Lennis Rose and Howard Rose both of Washburn, Missouri; three sisters, Evelyee Coyner of Pittsburg, Kansas, Thelma Martin of Independence, Missouri and Marilyn Roller of Washburn, Missouri; six grandchildren, Cody and Chase Dunfee, Josh and Jeremy Rose and Nich and Coleman Warren and ten great grandchildren, Lane, Addison, Myah, Zade, Remi, Colby, Jordan, Dylan and Saylor and baby boy Denver soon.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one daughter, Marsha Dunfee; a grandson, Jeffery Jordan; three sisters, Nancy, Jetta and Wanda and four brothers, Linear, J.V., Lemoin and Terry.
Harley grew up and received his education at Washburn, graduating from Southwest High School. For thirteen and a half years he was employed at General Motors in Kansas City, Missouri and also worked for a moving service. In 1978 he moved back to Washburn to farm, auctioneer and was a rural mail carrier. He was a very active member of Living Word Mission Church. He loved reading his Bible and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Some of his favorite pastimes were hunting and fishing and he enjoyed auctioneering, his cattle and vacationing in the West.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Burial will be at Hickman Cemetery west of Washburn.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
