Robert Dean Hefley, age 56, was found dead at this home Saturday, June 29, 2019.
Mr. Hefley was born March 28, 1964 in Kansas City, MO. His parents were Jack and Edna (Smith) Hefley. He grew up in the Tulsa, OK area and had moved to rural Columbus over 30 years ago.
He was a farmer. He loved collecting and restoring vintage cars. As a young man, he was active proudly earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
Surviving is one son, Zane Hefley (Kendra) Baxter Springs, KS; two daughters, Andrea Tyree (Rob) Baxter Springs and Aubrey Kovisto (Josh) Lawrence, KS; his father, Jack Hefley, Tulsa, OK; two brothers, Dan Hefley (Kim) Wellington, KS, and John Hefley (Laura) Tulsa, OK; and 8 grandchildren, Harley, Victory, Eisley, Novaley, Leiam, xander, Kaliana, and Myla.
He was entrusted to Derfelt Baxter Chapel, Baxter Springs, KS for cremation.
The family will have a memorial service at 5:30 pm, Friday, July 12, 2019 at First Christian Church, Baxter Springs, KS. Pastor Cody Graves will officiate.
