Christina D. Hollingsworth, 47, of Riverton, KS passed from this world on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle against cancer.
Christina was born December 8, 1971 in Kansas City, KS to the union of Ike and Ruth (Blair) Cantrell. Christina was a proud graduate of Baxter Springs High School class of 1991. She later attended Labette Community College and graduated in 2005 with a nursing degree. Christina had a love and passion for taking care of others as a registered nurse. Christina’s favorite thing to do was provide and spend quality time with her family. Christina enjoyed decorating, fishing, gardening, and spending time outdoors, especially at the lake.
Christina was united in marriage to Thomas Andrew Hollingsworth on August 11, 2001 in Baxter Springs, KS. He survives of the home. Additional survivors include two sons, Tyler Gibson and William Hollingsworth; mother, Ruth Cantrell; sister, Tammy Cantrell; along with extended family and friends.
Christina was preceded in death by her father, Ike Cantrell; two brothers, Dean Cantrell, and Tom Cantrell.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel. Family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m., on Saturday prior to the service. Following the service Christina has been entrusted to Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel for cremation with private family burial at a later date.
