Jean Burbach

Lifelong Pittsburg resident, Jean Ann Burbach, 93, died on July 18, 2019, after a short illness. The daughter of Sam and Zella Cremer, Jean was born on March 26, 1926. She graduated from Pittsburg High School and attended Kansas State Teachers College where she met John Kenneth Burbach. They were married on September 2, 1946 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jack Cremer.

Jean is survived by her husband of almost 73 years, Ken; daughter, Katherine (Jeff) Karlinger of Huntsville, Alabama; granddaughters, Dr. Tracy (Scott) Smith of Austin, Texas and Dr. Libby (Rafael) Escobedo of Aurora, Illinois and four great-grandchildren.








Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pittsburg, KS, with Father Jorge Lopez, officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery, Pittsburg, KS. The parish rosary will be 6:30 pm Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 522 S. Broadway Pittsburg, KS, where the family will receive friends following the rosary until 7:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Our Lady of Lourdes Memorial Fund. Condolences may be left at our website www.bathnaylor.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Bath-Naylor Funeral Home.
