Donnis Marie Willis, age 80 passed away at 7:35 am, Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, MO following an illness.
MS Willis was born May 18, 1939 in Galena, KS. Her parents were Cletis and Elsie (Shira) Barker. She was a lifetime resident of Galena.
She retired in 1984 after working several years as a registered nurse. Among her pastimes were fishing and puzzle books
Donnis was married to Vern Willis in 1985. He passed away in 1994. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John Barker.
Surviving is one brother, Marvin Barker (wife, Cathy) Galena, KS; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 11 Am Friday, December 20, 2019 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Galena, KS. Pastor Steven Daugherty will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS.
