Betty Lou Wilson, 79 of Quapaw, OK passed from this life on Friday, December 6, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.
Betty was born July 15, 1940 in Miami, OK to the union of Lawrence and Marie (Williams) Stites. She was raised in Picher, OK and graduated in 1959 from Picher High School.
Betty was united in marriage to Harold William Wilson, Jr. on May 12, 1960 in Picher, Oklahoma. Betty worked as a bookkeeper for Riverton Building Supply for 31 years, before retiring. Betty attended North Miami Assembly of God Church. She loved spending time and spoiling all of her family.
Betty is survived by one daughter, Kellie Wilson and Tracy Dixon of Vinita, OK; two sons, Kevin Wilson and wife Lora of Baxter Springs, KS, and Keith Wilson and wife Tracie of Bluffton, Ohio; one brother, Bill Stites and wife Connie of Tulsa, OK; nine grandchildren, and four grandchildren, along with extended family and friends.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Doris Frierson, and Ellen Smith; one brother, Bob Stites.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel. Pastor Keith Wilson, Kevin Wilson, and Pastor David Barnes will officiate the services.
