Charles Clugston

Charles Wesley Clugston, 99, of Tulsa, OK, formerly of Pittsburg, KS, passed away at Prairie Rose Retirement Community, Tulsa, OK, on December 31, 2017, nine weeks from his 100th birthday. 

Born in Cherokee, KS, he was the son of Winfield and Cecile (Dauron) Clugston. In 1979 Charles retired following thirty-eight years as a railroad engineer with the Kansas City Southern Railroad. Prior to relocating to Tulsa, he was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church of Pittsburg, and was a Mason. Charles was an avid golfer, and after retirement enjoyed fishing. 

He is survived by his brother, Allan Clugston, his sons Charles M Clugston and his wife, Meg of Tulsa; Casey Clugston and his wife, Margie of Lancaster, PS; a daughter, Jill Harsh and her husband, Mark of Olathe, KS; six grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Preceding Charles in death were his parents, a brother, Gerald Clugston, and a sister, Ann Lucchi.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 27, at 11:00 am at Brenner Mortuary. The family suggests memorials to the Wounded Warriors Fund.
