James A. “Bob” Dunn, age 90 of Galena, passed away at Pittsburg Care and Rehab Center at 2:15 PM on Saturday, January 27, 2018.
Bob was born on March 26, 1927 in Alba, MO to the union of Samuel A. Dunn and Pearl M. Laster. He had lived in the Four States area all of his life, and had living been in Galena since 1952. He worked at Farmers Chemical Company for 22 years, retiring in 1986. He loved old cars and motorcycles, racing stock cars, and was a member of the Cherokee Cruisers Car Club.
He married Alice V. (Feder) Dunn on August 30, 1946. She preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Pearl Dunn; one daughter, Melodie Dover; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include three sons, Stephen D. Dunn (wife, Beverly) of Baxter Springs, KS, Ron L. Dunn (wife, Jean) of Galena, and Mike W. Dunn (wife, Laura) of Galena; one daughter, Alice A. Jones (husband, Finis) of Galena; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Alba Friends Cemetery of Purcell, MO.
