Ken Wilkerson

Kenneth K. Wilkerson, 63 of rural Pittsburg, died Monday, May 13, 2019 at his home following a long illness.

He was born May 16, 1955 in Pittsburg, KS the son of Dewey Willard and Darlene V. (Gray) Wilkerson.

He graduated from PHS and then went on to PSU for 2 years.

On June 16, 1974 he was united in marriage to Karen E. McNeely in Pittsburg; she survives him of the home.

He worked at McNally’s in Pittsburg from 1974–1985, Roto-Rooter from 1986-1996 and then was the owner/operator of Ken Wilkerson Plumbing in Pittsburg. 

Ken was of the Christian faith. He was an avid hunter/fisherman and enjoyed working cattle and playing with the grandkids. 








Additional survivors include a daughter Buffy Lee Wilkerson and fiancé Bill Schlak of Michigan; a son Chris Wilkerson and wife Katherine of Frontenac; two brothers: Calvin W. Wilkerson of Durant, OK and Dale E. Wilkerson of Stillwater, OK, a sister Jo Carol Rhuems of Pittsburg along with six grandchildren Kasey Spielbusch, Sarah Spielbusch, Roy Spielbusch, Ashley Dawn Keeler, Adeline Lorraine Wilkerson and Jonathon Dewey Wilkerson and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Larry W. Wilkerson.

Graveside services will be 11 am Friday May 17, 2019 at the Highland Park Cemetery in Pittsburg with Rev. Daryl Gaddy officiating. Family will receive friends at the Bath-Naylor Funeral home from 9am until 10:30am when the procession leaves for the cemetery. Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com. Memorials may be made to the Wesley House; these may be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
