Rev. Sandy Stallings

Rev. Sandy D. Stallings, 73, of Pittsburg, died January 20, 2017 at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, of a sudden illness.

He was born January 9, 1944 in Amarillo, TX the son of Lloyd and Louise Hughes Stallings. He had been a resident of Pittsburg since 2000, moving from Springfield, MO. He graduated from the Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO with his Bachelor of Science degree in 2000.
He was an honorably discharged United States Marine Corp veteran, serving with the 3rd Anti-Tank Company.

He married Winnie Juanita Pryor on November 16, 1964 in Andrews, TX. She survives at the home in Pittsburg.

Rev. Stallings served as the clergyman at the Liberty Baptist Church in Pittsburg since 2000. Prior to entering the clergy he owned and operated the V & S Sandblasting Company in Denver City, Texas.
Membership was held in the Liberty Baptist Church in Pittsburg, KS.

Survivors in addition to his wife Juanita of the home include, one son Donivan Aaron Stallings of Knox City, TX, two daughters Sandra Sue Henderson and her husband Steve of Andrews, TX and April Joy Braun and her husband Jason of Pittsburg, KS, one sister Sherian Dixon of Paris, TX, one brother Stanley Stallings of Odessa, TX, 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Sidney Stallings.

Memorial services will b e 2:30pm, Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 522 S. Broadway in Pittsburg, KS with Brother James Lyman, officiating. The Kansas Army National Guard Funeral Honors team will conduct military rites at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at a later date. The family will receive their friends from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the Liberty Baptist Church in Pittsburg in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be left at our web site www.bathnaylor.com.
