Charlene A. Smith, 84 of Frontenac, KS, died at 12:31am, Friday, January 21, 2017 at the Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, KS.
She was born October 3, 1932 in Ottawa, KS the daughter of Charlie A. “Jack” Nenno and Minnie Marie (Sinclair) Nenno.
On April 14, 1952 she was united in marriage to Charles F. “Bud” Smith he preceded her in death on November 5, 2011.
Charlene was a homemaker and a member of the Frontenac United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter Melody A. (Larry) Pugh of Pittsburg, a son Charles Jeff (Rhonda) Smith of Lockwood, MO; a brother Gene Nenno of Oklahoma City, OK, a sister Barbara Sheppard of Colorado Springs, CO; along with seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter Linda Piccini and two sisters Wanda Cook and Sharon Jones.
Graveside services will be 1 pm Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the Garden of Memories Cemetery with Rev. C.L. Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow. Family will receive friends at the Friskel Funeral Home from 12 pm Tuesday until the procession leaves for the cemetery. Condolences may be left at www.friskelfuneralhome.com.
