Neil O. Knapp, 80, of rural Pittsburg, passed away at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2017 at his home.
He was born November 10, 1936 at Pittsburg, the son of Doyle O. and Elinor (Wilkinson) Knapp. He attended Pittsburg High School and graduated from College High.
It was at College High where he met the love of his life, Shirley Selby. They celebrated 62 years of marriage this year. Mr. Knapp worked for Westar as an Agent in McCune until he retired. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Knapp and a daughter, Debbie Phillips. Mr. Knapp’s daughter, Kristi Canfield passed away a few hours after her father on Wednesday.
Mr. Knapp has been cremated per his wishes. No services are planned at this time. Friends may leave online condolences at www.brennermortuary.com.
