Debra Rawlins

Debra Sue Rawlins, age 48, passed away at 10:05 pm, Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at K U Medical Center, Kansas City KS following an illness.

Debra was born February 20, 1971 in Corpus Christi, TX. Her parents were Robert and Donna (Hayward) Ryon. She was a lifetime area resident.

She graduated from Riverton High School with the Class of 1989. For 7 years, she owned and operated The Clothesline in Columbus, KS. She was currently working as a caregiver at Community Support Services, a position she had held the past 4 years. She enjoyed being a party coordinator where she used her crafting skills to decorate for various themed parties. She was a softball and soccer mom always giving sideline support to her children. She most enjoyed keeping her grandchildren who affectionately called her Nana or Nini.

She married Jeff Rawlins, the love of her life, on May 16, 1992 in Riverton, Kansas. He survives.

Additional survivors include one son, Michael S Rawlins (wife, Tagen), Columbus, KS; one daughter, Kayli Rawlins (fiancé, Jarrett Lawrence), Cherokee, KS; her mother Donna Ryon, Galena, KS; 3 grandchildren, Ryleigh Lawrence, Kinleigh Sue Lawrence, and Maverick J Rawlins; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm, Monday Feb. 3, 2020 at Hill Crest Cemetery, Galena, KS. Pastor Tracy Rowe will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 pm, Sunday, Feb 2, 2020 at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS.
