Sandy Magers

Sandy S. Magers, 74, of Parsons, died at 1:10 a.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2019 in Parsons near her family and friends.

She was born August 6, 1944 at Chula Vista, California to Carel H. and Josephine L. (Shears) Magers. The family moved to Parsons in 1945, later lived in Wichita and returned to Parsons in the 1950’s.

Sandy began her work career at the A and B Shade Shop and later became a bookkeeper for Capitol Truck Lines and its successor Graves Trucking and retired from Reliable Medical Service in 2009. She was a member of the Teamsters Union and her interests included reading, crossword puzzles and being with her children.









Survivors include her son, Mike Magers, of Olathe; her daughter, Dina Wonn-Zupan (Doug), of Thornville, OH; two grandchildren, Jacob Wonn (Robin), of State College, PA and Jesse Wonn (fiancé Jordon Gray) of Buckeye Lake, OH; great granddaughter, Izabella Brown, of Buckeye Lake, OH; brother, Ron Magers (Joyce), of Parsons; two nieces, Ronni Stringer of Parsons and Angie Burzinski of Blue Springs, MO; two nephews, Donnie Williams of Parsons and Scott Williams of Davenport, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine and Clinton Walker and a sister, Carolyn Williams.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, at Oakwood Cemetery, with Rev. Wayne Mason officiating.

The Carson-Wall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and friends may call there Thursday until 8 p.m.
