Leslie Ann Delano, 60, of Baxter Springs, KS passed from this life peacefully on Monday, June 10, 2019 at her home in Baxter Springs.
Leslie was born September 5, 1958 in Renton, Washington to the union of Frank Eugene and Valerie Margorie (Cunningham) McKinzie. Leslie was united in marriage to James A. Delano in Baxter Spring, KS, they just celebrated 29 years of marriage. Leslie worked for the Baxter Springs School District for over 28 years, serving as School Board Secretary before her health wouldn’t allow her to work anymore.
Leslie is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Valerie McKinzie.
Leslie is survived by her husband James A. Delano of the home; one son, Joey Sparks and wife Allison of Baxter Springs, KS; daughter, Stacy Sparks of the home; two brothers, Kelly McKinzie of Everett, WA, and Keith McKinzie and wife Karen of Baxter Springs, KS; two grandchildren, Noah and Nolan.
Leslie has been entrusted to Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel for cremation. By honoring Leslie’s wish, there will be no formal services held. Online condolences may be expressed at www.derfeltfuneralhomes.com.
