Thomas Cash

Thomas L. Cash 91, of Pittsburg, KS passed away at 7:37am Saturday July 15, 2017 at his home. 

Thomas was born December 4, 1925 in Bentonville, AR the son of Christopher and Elsie (Keene) Cash. Thomas graduated from high school in Bentonville, Arkansas and has been a part of this community since 1959. During WWII Thomas served his country in the United States Navy as a Frogman. 

On August 30, 1950 Thomas married Mary L. Dorey in Harrison, AR. Mary preceded him in death on March 19, 2012. Thomas worked as an Electrical Foreman for McNally’s in Pittsburg, KS for 28 years. Thomas was a member of the Lighthouse Tabernacle Church in Pittsburg, KS serving as Care Pastor and Elder at the Lighthouse Tabernacle Church. He was also a member of the American Legion, Electrical Union #301 Nash, TX. Thomas loved mowing with the tractor; reading the Bible, and was known to always lend a helping hand to others. 

Survivors include his children Jimmy Lawrence and wife Terry of Ozark, MO, Thomas Cash and wife Elaine of Austin, TX, Jerry Cash and wife Wanapa of Reno, NV, Carol Cash of Bentonville, AR and Gary Cash of Rogers, AR; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. 

Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, parents, daughter June Cash, and 5 siblings.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm Thursday July 20, 2017 at the Lighthouse Tabernacle Church in Pittsburg, KS with Pastor Daryl Gaddy officiating. Burial will follow at the Frontenac City Cemetery. Informal visitation will be from 12:00pm-5:00pm Wednesday July 19, 2017 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg, KS. In lieu of flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to the Lighthouse Tabernacle Church in Pittsburg, KS.
