Patricia Davidson

Patricia L. (Smith) Davidson, 80, of rural Girard, passed away at 3:00 a.m., Monday, July 17, 2017 at her home in Ringo, Kansas. 

She was born September 12, 1936 at Pittsburg, the daughter of John and Audrey (Coots) Smith. She lived the majority of her life in Pittsburg. After marrying Oliver Davidson on July 28, 1953, she threw all of her energies into raising their children. Pat worked as a school cook for USD 250 at the Pittsburg Public schools until she retired. 

She is survived by husband, Oliver Davidson of the home; two sisters, Virginia McNeely, of Pittsburg, Kansas, Delores (Anton) Troglia of Franklin, Kansas. Her kids Jim (Gallie) Davidson from Ringo, Kansas, Debby (Jim) Hughes from Colorado and Richard (Brenda) Davidson from Buffalo, Missouri and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Audrey Smith, two brothers, Johnny Smith and George Smith and a granddaughter, Marquita (Davidson) Hasley. She will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, whose greatest passion was helping others. 

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday (July 21) at Brenner Mortuary with Pastor Daryl Gaddy officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Brenner Mortuary to sign the register book. The family suggests memorials to the Pawprints on the Heartland. These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 East 4th St., Pittsburg, KS 66762.
