Darlene Froelich, 85, of Chetopa, KS, died Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at the Chetopa Manor in Chetopa, KS.
She was born November 4, 1932, in Cherokee County, KS, the daughter of Bert Humble, Sr and Gladys Opal Humble.
In 1977 Darlene married Herman W. Froelich in Oswego, KS, he preceded her in death on December 26, 1981.
Darlene graduated high school in West Mineral, KS and worked as a cook for the Baxter Memorial Hospital for many years.
Darlene was a member of the Beulah Community Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include two daughters, Cherly Hamm and Kim Lambert; brother, Bert Humble Jr.; three grandchildren, Travis Gearhart, Keisha Hopam and Ryan Batalia; and eight great-grandchildren, Devon Dean MCnany, Samare Batalia, Alyssa Batalia, Makayla Batalia, Javier Davis, Kristina Gearhart, Ariel Gearhart and Corbin Gearhart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two sisters, Margaret Purdon and Maxine Battalia.
The family will receive friends at Hosey Hill Cemetery in Weir, Ks on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 2 p.m.
