Daniel G. Miller 69, of Pittsburg, KS died 2:41pm Friday July 27, 2018 at the Pittsburg Health and Rehab Center following an illness.
Daniel was born June 27, 1949 in Waukegan, Illinois the son of Dale and Lillian (Dickens) Miller. Daniel was raised in Zion, Illinois graduating from Benton High School in 1967. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in Frankfurt, Germany during the Vietnam War. Daniel worked as a self-employed plasterer, painter and mechanic most all his life.
Survivors include his siblings Donna Zeileck and husband Dave of Longmont, CO, Ginny Kennedy and husband John of Zion, IL, Mickie Damitz Miller of North Pole, AK, Timothy H. Miller and wife Pam of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Wendy Bolin of Girard, KS, Cindy Lampi of Park City, IL; good friend Mike Nabor of Zion, IL and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents Cecil Hobart, Edna Miller, Julius and Esther Schmidt; nephews Matt Damitz and Joseph Zeilbeck; brother-in-laws Richard H. Bolin and Norman L. Damitz.
Per Daniel’s wishes private services will take place at a later date. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Bath-Naylor Funeral Home of Pittsburg, KS.
