Carol Sue Brill

Carol Sue Antonetti Brill was born April 19, 1947, in Radley, Kansas to Joe and Julia Antonetti. She passed from this earth on August 2, 2018, after a brief illness but a history of health concerns.

Carol Sue attended Radley Community Schools and graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1964. Following high school she received her cosmetology license and spent several years as a hairdresser.

In 1974, the first major blessing came into her life with the adoption of her baby girl, Misti Lynne. Misti married Bryan Janssen in 1995 and they still live in the family home.

In 1977, the second of her two children was adopted. Brandon Lee now lives in Pittsburg with his wife Angie. While the children were growing up, Carol Sue was an active member of Saint Michaels Parish in Girard where she was the president of the altar society and a CCD teacher. She was also a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pittsburg.

Carol Sue enjoyed the simple things in life such as fishing as the sun came up, puzzles, gardening and watching her dogs. Carol Sue’s greatest passion was spending time with her grandchildren and watching them play.

She has 3 grandsons; Ashton Janssen of Coffeyville, Cameron Janssen of Pittsburg and Blaise Brill of Pittsburg and 2 granddaughters; Emma and Olivia Brill of Pittsburg. Other survivors include 1 sister Jeannine of Topeka, 2 nieces and 1 nephew.

Carol Sue was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Josette Brackett who was also her best friend.

Mass of Christian Burial is set for 10:00 a.m., Monday (August 6) at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Clay Kimbro as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. A parish rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. The family will receive friends following the rosary until 8:00 p.m. The family suggests memorials to the Grandchildren’s Scholarship Fund. These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 East 4th St., Pittsburg, KS 66762. Friends may leave condolences online at www.brennermortuary.com.
