Emma Norvell

Emma Lee Norvell, age 83 passed away at 2:30 pm, Sunday April 1, 2018 at Medicalodge of Frontenac, KS following an illness.

Mrs Novell was born June 4, 1934 in Baxter Springs, KS. Her parents were John Raymond and Faye Agnes (Roland) Pfetcher. She moved to Galena from Pomona, CA, and had lived here most of her life.

She lived at the same address since 1961. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, and visiting with friends.

Emma was married to Jerry Russell Norvell on Feb 27, 1950 in Columbus KS. He preceded her in death on Aug 19, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her son, Raymond Norvell, and two sisters, Judith Ann Pfetcher and Charlotte Sizemore.

Surviving is one son, Russell Norvell (wife, Rebecca), Galena, KS and one grandson, Jesse Ray Norvell, Galena.

A private graveside service was held Monday afternoon at Oak Hill Cemetery, under the care of Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS.
