Janice Money

Janice Lou (King) Money, 69, passed away on Friday afternoon, February 2, 2018 at her home. 

She was born January 1, 1949 at West Plains, Missouri, to Ralph Edward and Doris Eleanor (Green) King. She graduated from Forest City, Missouri High School. She married Lincoln Louis Marburger. He preceded her in death. She was then married to Jim Money. They later divorced. 

She was married to David Depue in 2005 in Reading, Kansas. He survives at the family home located in McCune, Kansas. Mrs. Money worked as an LPN for many years. She also worked at Wilson Foods in Marshall, Missouri, before she became disabled and stayed home to be a full-time wife and grandma. Membership was held in the Believer’s Bible Church in Pittsburg, KS. 

In addition to her husband, David Depue, she is survived by a son, Lincoln Marburger of Marshall, MO; three daughters, Engred (Marburger) Peters and her husband, Chad of Raleigh, N.C., Brenda (Money) Landreth and her husband, Shane of Farmington, MO and Cynthia (Money) Hern and her husband, Kenny Young of Boonville, MO; two brothers, Gary King and his wife, Betty of Marshall, MO and Leland King of Marshall, MO; two sisters, Helen Duncan of Marshall, MO and Evelyn Mutchler of Council Bluffs, IA; fifteen grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, with 2 great-grandchildren on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by special cousin Bill Waring and his wife, Lawana of Mulberry, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Lynn King, Dean King, Dwight King, and Dail King, and one infant grandchild, Jessica Landreth. 

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday (Feb. 5) at the Believer’s Bible Church, located at 315 W. 11th Street in Pittsburg with Pastor Clifford Allmon officiating. A second Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 10) at the United Pentecostal Church, located at 669 W. Vest Street in Marshall MO with Pastor William Swaringam officiating. The family suggests memorials be given to the Believer’s Bible Church. These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS 66762.
