Willa D Reed, age 85 passed away March 4, 2017 at Parsons Presbyterian Manor following an illness.
She was born June 5, 1931 in Fulton, KS. Her parents were Ward and Ethel (Phillips) Durbin. She moved to Owego in 1970 from Ft Scott, KS.
She was first married to William Bunn in 1958 at Girard, KS. That marriage ended in divorce. She later married Paul W Reed on June 7, 1977 in Miami, OK. He passed away August 16, 2015. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Jessie Durbin, Bob Durbin, and Ron Durbin.
Surviving are two sons, William “Bill” Bunn Jr, Grove, OK and Roman A Bunn (wife Christine) Amarillo, TX; three daughters, Carolyn Plant (husband John) Amarillo, TX, Virginia Bunn, Altamont, KS, and Anita Salisbury (husband, Lonnie), {arsons, KS; 4 step children; Paul Reed Jr. of Cherryvale, KS; Michael A. Reed of Altamont, KS; Steven R. Reed of Cherryvale, KS; and Cynthia Deann Reynolds (husband John) of Shreveport, LA; and 14 grandchildren.
She was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Oswego, KS for cremation. Private graveside services were held Friday, March 10, 2017 at McCune Cemetery McCune, KS.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Transportation Fund in care of the funeral home.
