Tricia McGinnes

Patricia A. “Tricia” McGinnes, 50, of Parsons, died Wednesday morning, October 10, 2018 in the emergency room of Labette Health.

She was born August 8, 1968, in Parsons, to Ralph and Marion (Perry) Whittley. She attended Parsons schools.

On February 12, 1993 she and Jesse McGinnes were married in Miami, Oklahoma. He survives.

Tricia was employed several years by SKIL as a caregiver. She retired in 2010 for health reasons. She attended the Calvary Baptist Church and loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She loved to garden, when her health permitted.

She is survived by her husband, Jesse; two daughters, Jessica Gamble (Matthew) and Cheyenne Weir (Cody) and four grandchildren, Beau, Cassie-Ann, Davina and Freya, all of Parsons; five brothers, Ralph Whittley, Jr. (Arra) and John Whittley (Robin), of Altamont, Randy Whittley (Karen) of Parsons, George Whittley (Nelda) and Willie Whittley, of Oswego; three sisters, Carolyn Housley (Roy) and Peggy Kepley (Danny), of Parsons and Cosette Essig, of Independence; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Frances McGinnes, of Parsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, infant Rose Marie Whittley and Cassie Anderson.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home, with Rev. Rodney Howell officiating. Burial will be in East Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Operation Bright Touch.
