Anne Hudson

Anne Marie Hudson, 67, a devoted wife, mother, and nonnie passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at her residence.

She was born November 26, 1950, at Pittsburg, KS, to Joseph A. and Margaret A. (Lavery) Caruso. She graduated from Frontenac High School in 1968. She then graduated from Pittsburg State University with a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Education, as a reading specialist.

On August 4, 1973, she was united in marriage to Donald Hudson at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frontenac. He survives at the family home.

Anne worked for USD 250 at Pittsburg Middle School and Westside Elementary until she retired in 2006. After retiring, she worked for Greenbush as a reading consultant.

Membership was held at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, and Chapter CP PEO.

In addition to her husband, Don, she is survived by two daughters, Rachel Hanson and her husband, Chris of South Lyon, MI, and Amanda Sukraw and her husband, Jamey of Pittsburg, KS; two sons, Jesse Hudson and his wife, Erica of Pittsburg, KS, and Will Hudson and his wife, Jenna, of Slinger, WI; two sisters Karen Smith and her husband, Chris of Pittsburg, KS, and Rita Caruso of Frontenac, KS, and eleven grandchildren, Lizzie, Anessa, and Abby Hanson, Maleia, Brynn, and Syler Sukraw, Karter, Keaton, and Greyson Hudson, Maria and Margaret Hudson; and her nieces and nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter, Anissa Hudson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 15, 2018, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Clay Kimbro as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Frontenac. The parish rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the church followed by a visitation until 8:00 p.m. The family suggests memorials to the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Memorial Fund.
