Judith Bay

Judith Ann Wilhite (Walters) Bay 75, of Pittsburg, KS died 8:45 pm Friday September 7, 2018 at her home following an illness.

Judith was born October 7, 1942 in Yates Center, KS the daughter of Orvin L. and Mary Elizabeth (Hakes) Wilhite. Judith has been a part of the Pittsburg community for the last 50 years. Judith was a graduate of Parsons High School and later furthered her education at Labette Community College, Hays University, Kansas State University and Pittsburg State University earning Degrees in Psychology and Graphic Arts. 

In 1963 Judith married Paul L. Walters in Parsons, KS; they later divorced. She later married Bryant Bay in 2001 in Pittsburg, KS; he survives at the home. Judith worked most of her life as a printer for Headlight and Suns in Pittsburg, KS and later Graphic Forms in Pittsburg, KS. Judith was of the Christian Faith; was active at the university in International Foreign Exchange Students; United Ministries in Higher Education; she enjoyed crocheting, cross stitching and taking and collecting photographs. 

Survivors include her children Theresa L. Owen and husband Charles of Pittsburg, KS, Robert Paul Walters and wife Karla of El Dorado, KS and Bryan C. Walters and wife Johna of Fairland, OK; brothers Allen Roy Wilhite of Austin, TX and Van Wilhite of Westpoint, CA; 6 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Judith was preceded in death by her parents. 

Memorial Graveside Services will be 3:00 pm Saturday September 29, 2018 at the Yates Center Cemetery in Yates Center, KS. In lieu of flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to the Habitat for Humanity. Friends may drop off or mail memorials to the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 522 S.
