Glen Eldon Mercer, of Oswego, Kansas, passed away Saturday morning, November 23, 2019.
He was born June 5, 1941 in Columbus, Kansas to the late Carl Eugene and Mary Elizabeth (Dickenson) Mercer. He lived in the area all of his life, and on June 8, 1973, he married Peggy Louise Getmen in Parsons, Kansas. During his life he worked as a heavy equipment operator for his dad at Mercer Farms. Fishing, hunting, and gardening were among his favorite hobbies, though he also enjoyed woodworking, and even painting as of late.
Survivors include his wife Peggy, son Doug (wife Darlene) Mercer of Sherman City, KS, and daughter Judy (husband Doug) of Weir, KS, 7 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
Cremation arrangements are being handled through Derfelt Funeral Home of Columbus. The family will host a Celebration of Life at a later date.
