Pat Thompson

Patricia “Pat” Thompson, 75, of Parsons, died at 5:30 a.m., Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the home of a son in Parsons. She had been in failing health.

She was born July 1, 1943, in Parsons, to Chester N. and Mary Louise (Jones) Crane. She graduated from Labette County Community High School in Altamont in 1961.

On May 27, 1961 she and Donald L. Thompson were married at the Friendship Baptist Church in Parsons. Don survives of the home.

The Thompsons lived in Parsons with the exception of about 20 years in the Wichita area. Pat had been employed at the Fred Ronald Manufacturing Co., Wal Mart, Class Ltd and SKIL. She was a member of Center Bethel Church and enjoyed doing ceramics, bowling and horseback riding. She loved to crochet and made baby blankets and hats for the local hospital.








Surviving besides her husband are four children, Rhonda Biggs (Jeffrey), of Parsons, Todd Thompson (Sandie), of Wichita, Donald Thompson, of Olathe and Anthony Lee Thompson (Valerie), of Parsons; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Anita Birge, of Cape Fair, MO and Katherine Lee Crane, of Windsor, MO. Her parents preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, at the Center Bethel Church, with Pastor Keith Jones officiating. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m., Tuesday.
