Jean Naramore

Jean (Hillibrandt) Naramore, 92, longtime Parsons resident, died at 9:34 p.m., Thursday, March 14, 2019 at the Meadowlark Adult Care Home in Wichita.

She was born December 20, 1926, at. St. Paul, to Frank G. and Ethel T. (Jacobson) Hillibrandt. Soon after her birth the family moved to Beatrice, NE. Her father died when she was 15 and the family moved to Parsons, where she attended and graduated from Parsons High School.

Jean and James T. Naramore were married on December 18, 1945 at Larned. Jim preceded her in death on April 9, 2015.

She had worked at several offices in Parsons, including the law office of Richard Dearth, Mid-America Federal Savings and Loan and the Parsons Chamber of Commerce. After retiring she volunteered countless hours at the Labette County Medical Center. She also was active in the Stella Wells Christmas Basket program. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed playing Bridge.








Survivors include a daughter, Terri Verner, of Wichita and a son, Tim Naramore (Margo), of Allen, TX; six grandchildren, Regan Ensey (Virgil), of Stillwater, OK, Justin Naramore, of Parsons, Michael Naramore (Megan), of Allen, TX, Robyn Peterson (Carl), of Lawrence, Kelli Rud (Nick), of McKinney, TX and Taylor Cole, of Kazakhstan; six great-grandchildren; one daughter in-law - Delores "Lori" Naramore.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, a son, Bruce Naramore, in 1991, a son-in-law, Tom Verner and a sister, Vivian Baker.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home, with Rev. Jennifer Dawson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
