Wilma N. Kent passed to her eternal home on July 16, 2018 at 9:20 AM in Galena, KS.
Wilma was born on July 30, 1920 to James Arthur Russell and Gladys Viola (Lindsey) Russell. She was a graduate of Galena High School. Wilma was a lifelong member of First Christian Church in Galena where she taught as a Sunday School Teacher for many years.
She married her beloved husband Harry Hagen Kent on August 23, 1940 in Baxter Springs, KS. They shared a 69 year union and were totally devoted to one another. He preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur Eugene Russell and Harold Leon Russell; a niece Shirley J. Newman; and a nephew, Harold Leon Russell, Jr.
Surviving is one sister, Mary Colleen Jarvis; and three nephews, David Russell (wife, Janet), John Jarvis, and Glen Arthur Russell.
She will be laid to rest with a graveside rites at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Hill Crest Cemetery of Galena. Online condolences may be expressed at www.derfeltfuneralhomes.com.
